ARCHBISHOP WRIGHT CAMPERSHIP FUND The purpose of the Archbishop Wright Campership Fund is to provide monies for bursaries to send children to Diocesan summer camps associated with the Diocese of Algoma who would nototherwise have the opportunity to attend. The source of funds is composed of money donated during the 125th anniversary celebrations of St. Luke’s Cathedral parish, donations made to the fund by individuals, organizations or groups at anytime, and money derived from a fundraising endeavour specifically for the fund. The fund is administered by a committee of three elected at St. Luke’s annual vestry meeting of St. Luke’s parish. The money is deposited with the Diocese of Algoma to be placed in a Trust Fund created for the fund. Only the interest from the investment either in whole or in part shall be used in any given year. The money shall be dispensed to a particular camp(s) for a camper(s) to be determined by the committee. Nominations for bursaries are accepted by the committee from camp directors and/or clergy not later than May 15th of the year it is to be used. After May 15th, if surplus funds are available in that year, financial aid may be given to young people wishing to attend Youth Synod at Camp Manitou. Requests for burseries is made to the Committee c/o Dean Nelson Small, St. Luke’s Cathedral, 160 Brock Street, Sault Ste. Marie, ON, P6A 3B7. A yearly report shall be made to the annual vestry meeting at St. Luke’s parish. Any change to the fund or its operation can be made only upon 2/3 majority vote at the annual vestry meeting of St. Luke’s Parish, and with the concurrence of the Executive Committee of the Diocese of Algoma.
